Help us save dogs in Puerto Rico

My name is Julia and this is my dog Austin. We are raising money to help Toby's Rescue, an amazing but very small organization that brings stray dogs from Puerto Rico to be adopted into loving homes in the DC-MD-VA area.
On the streets of Puerto Rico there are hundreds of thousands of stray dogs, known as "satos". Austin was one of them after his mom gave birth to her litter under a truck in an abandoned gas station in Ponce, Puerto Rico. When he was just a few days old, he was rescued from under that truck by one of Toby's volunteers. Soon enough, Austin got to the US, where luckily, we adopted him from Toby's.
For my Bat Mitzvah project, I am raising money for supplies for Toby's dog rescue operations in Puerto Rico. A few months ago, my family and I went to Puerto Rico to meet with some of the volunteers who rescue, care for, and help transport the dogs to our area and distribute the supplies. Some of the things your donations support are: flea, tick and heartworm medication, food, subsidizing spaying and neutering, and pet store gift cards to meet other needs. On our flight back, we were "flight angels" for 3 small rescued dogs. When we arrived back in Maryland, these dogs were taken to Toby's, and they found their forever homes.
Austin and I would be deeply appreciative for any support you can give our project.
